It has been over 40 years since Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Shining hit the theaters and the movie continues to inspire conspiracy theories both plausible and outrageous. The theory that Kubrick is commenting on the mass murder of Native Americans at various points in the movie seems beyond obvious. However, more outlandish theories, such as The Shining As Confession of Filming the Moon Landing are downright idiotic. Which of these theories are plausible and which aren’t?
